The catholic wedding of Reshmi and Patrick

One year ago at this time, we were blessing the marriage of my dearest Reshmi and Patrick. At this point of this story, you must have heard about our fabulous, romantic, colorful, multicultural and so emotive indian/catholic wedding we celebrated in Barcelona.

During these 3 days, we had lots of hard work checking everything till the smallest detail but it was worth it for all the fun we had too and the good feedback of the guests and the happiness of Reshmi and Patrick.

You can see the previous events to the catholic marriage (here for the indian wedding and here for the mehendi ritual).

The catholic wedding was still missing in our blog and in honour of the 1st Reshmi and Patrick wedding anniversary, l decided to feature it today.

Reshmi, l can’t express how grateful l feel to allow us to be part of your wedding. You were you and Patrick so nice and simple persons, patient, respectful, helpful and always here, even though Reshmi was setting at the same time her own business of Artisan macarons (don’t hesitate to go and enjoy her website: http://angesdesucre.com)

Reshmi has a terrific sense of humor. It was a pleasure to hear/ read  some new anecdotes from her (the day where she was emailing me their moving from Paris to UK, l was laughing tearfully). During this one year organization, we exchanged soooo many emails, and their visits to Barcelona ended up building a special link between us.

So many anecdotes l could tell too during that year:  passion of Reshmi for Churros, her broken foot, when she showed me the 1st version of her company logo, the desperate call of Patrick asking me to find a tailor in 2 days (on the 16th of Aug.!) because Reshmi decided to cook healthy , no going out anymore for dinner, consequently he lost weight and did not fit anymore to his suits, the story of the lamb (or the blue cake), the file for the church (lost through post mail)…

Thank you so much guys for trusting me 100% in this wedding even if you knew it was our 1st indian wedding planning – Thank you Reshmi for being as you are, a customer became a friend now – with my doors open to taste a true homemade and French raclette (hehhehehee)

Well , After this “thank you” note, time to talk now of their wedding.

Reshmi and Patrick wedding were under the elegance and blue color themes.

The catholic wedding took place in one of the most emblematic and impressive churches of Barcelona and its old city : Santa María del Pi.

As for the blue theme, everything was set up: Blue shoes, blue dresses for the bridesmaids, blue ties, blue touch in the bouquet, blue centerpieces  (with candlesticks very appropriate for the place) blue sitting with a leaf and ribbon and blue menus. We also prepared some blue cone for the petals.

The English tradition was here with the Maid of honour, bridesmaids, best men and groomsmen. That entire troupe with the same outfit, buttonhole or bouquet gave definitely a refined touch to the wedding.

After the ceremony, the shooting took place in the narrow streets of the old city which have a charming touch, a romantic contrast that make the wedding pictures simply fantastic.

The dinner took place in a royal styled hotel, with culturally rich decoration, icon of the elegance and luxury, another splendid frame

for good food, good time and unbelievable pictures.

Congratulations Ines for these stunning and brilliant photos! credit photos for the 3 days: Happines
