A multicultural wedding in Barcelona

A multicultural wedding in Barcelona. Attieha, the bride, is from Rwanda (her mother) and Siria (her father) meanwhile Ashraf, the groom is from Pakistan and Rwanda too. And both live in Quebec, Canada. Did l already told you that l love planning multicultural weddings ? In this case, l had the big honour to live all the aspects of their multicultural wedding . Since a ceremony where the Coran and the Bible were leading with arabic and french speeches to some Arabic pastries and a beautiful american-styled cake. What else? Indian, arabic and African dances. Multicultural rituals of blessing with rice, petals, spices and red headsquare and of course people coming from everywhereg and speaking different languages. The dream wedding of the Babel tower.

Attieha actually contacted me when she saw in our blog the wedding of Maud and Olivier, our french couple. After various skype and emails we managed to organize their dream wedding through the distance (they only came to barcelona 1 week before the wedding): selection of the venue, video, florist, catering, transport, ceremony setting, officiant, soprano, dj, pianist, welcome cocktail the day before, henna artists, make up artist and hair dresser, decoration and 3 tiered wedding cake (beautiful one), seating plan… and….a blue carpet!

The colours theme was blue white and gold as you will able to see on the pictures. Ashraf ‘s tuxedo, bridesmaids dresses, sitting, wedding favours… Note also the beautiful embroidery of the logo of the couple (2 A) added on the napkins. Brilliant!

You cannot miss neither the sooo nice centerpiece nor the beautiful smile of Attieha.

Many thanks Ashraf, Attieha for trusting me and for your sweetness. It was vmy pleasure to have met you and your lovely family.
