” We would like to express our deep gratitude to the amazing work that Carole Bipat did on our wedding.  As our friends and family keep telling us “it was one of the most amazing weddings they’ve ever attended” and this was completely because of the organization by Carole.  Because we had a destination wedding with people attending from around the world we wanted to make sure they were entertained but also had some time to sight-see in Barcelona.  Carole was able to help with every detail and made our experience a complete joy.  From the venues to the food, cake and flowers, she gave us a variety of choices and prices to pick from, but not too many so choices were easier to make.   We had a welcome cocktail party the day before that she organized and was truly memorable.  And on the day of the wedding we actually got to really enjoy ourselves because everything was organized and went off without any issues.  Carole was always there but never intrusive making sure every detail was taken care of so we could just take in our special day.   We can’t recommend Carole highly enough to anyone planning to get married in Barcelona. “

Megan and Theo

Theo and I wanted to combine our wedding and honeymoon in a way that was simple yet special.  It was all beyond our expectations due to Carole’s efforts.  Suffice to say, we could not have done it without Carole particularly as a couple coming from outside Spain!

She carefully and intuitively curated options for us in terms of the venue, schedule, etc. and made our selection process easy.  Even without meeting us face-to-face, she knew exactly what we needed and wanted.  Carole is flexible, responsive and patient.  On the day of the event, we did not have to think about anything which allowed us to relish the day even more.  Carole truly takes care of her clients and we highly recommend her!  We cannot thank her enough for making our wedding so beautiful.

Hola Carole,

Como ya han expresado otras parejas que se han “casado contigo” una boda da muchísimo trabajo y quebraderos de cabeza, por eso tu ayuda y esfuerzo han sido imprescindibes para hacer realidad la boda de nuestros sueños.

Pero a nosotros nos gustaría ir más allá y agradecerte eso que los invitados no ven. Nos referimos a tus palabras de apoyo cuando las cosas se complican, la templanza que nos supiste transmitir cuando más nerviosos estábamos, y por supuesto las risas y la felicidad compartidas a lo largo de esta aventura juntos. En definitiva, eso tan especial que va más allá de elegir un espacio o unas flores. Ahí fue donde marcaste la diferencia.

Te lo agradecemos. Formarás siempre parte de nuestros mejores recuerdos.

We got back to the states last night.  We had a great trip.

I can’t express how much everyone loved the wedding.  Everyone keeps talking about it and putting up millions of photos.  The reception venue was perfect and I couldn’t have found it without you.  The ceremony went off without a hitch and was so touching and perfect.  Xavier was so great with his kind words and beautiful parchment in Catalan.  I couldn’t have pulled off this wedding across the world without your help!  You were so amazing to work with and Patrick and I can’t thank you enough.  Marry Me in Spain is a great company and we’d tell anyone to use your services without hesitation!

¿Por qué una Wedding Planner? ¿Vale la pena el coste?

1. Te propone una lista de proveedores seleccionados, de los que puedes ver referencias de un tercero y no sólo aportadas por el propio proveedor. Quieres saber lo que han opinado otros novios o la wedding planner de él, no lo que dice el proveedor que opinan de él mismo… La alternativa es pasar horas buscando en Google o portales de bodas y haciendo más visitas :/ ¿Tienes tiempo?

2. Te puede aportar ideas creativas para hacer la boda más divertida – cosas que no se te ocurrirían a ti solo. Lo podrías encontrar por internet, ¿pero tienes tiempo? La wedding planner además te puede comentar qué es lo que ha funcionado y qué es lo que no.

3. Un proveedor que viene a través de la wedding planner es un proveedor “recurrente”: si no hace bien su trabajo sabe que la wedding planner no volverá a recomendarlo. Si te presta servicio sólo a ti, sabe que sólo te hará una y una sola venta: no existe el mismo incentivo para ponerse las pilas ¿verdad?

4. La wedding planner ya ha trabajado y pedido cotizaciones a una serie de proveedores en competencia  (y que saben que lo están en mayor medida porque están tratando con una profesional cuyo trabajo es justamente éste ). También puedes hacer una lista tú mismo, ¿pero de qué información dispones para hacer esta lista, valorar diferencias de calidad y servicio entre los distintos proveedores y comparar precios? Otra vez, ¿tienes tiempo de hacerlo?

5. ¿El día de la boda quieres estar pendiente de tus amigos e invitados o de los detalles y de la logística de tu boda? Todo pasa volando y si sabes que alguien está a cargo y al mando de todos los detalles, te quedas más tranquilo y disfrutas más.

 ¿Valió la pena? ¡SIN NINGUNA DUDA!

Nous avons choisi Barcelone parce que nous voulions  un mariage au soleil et original et tout s’est réalisé comme nous le souhaitions. Carole, notre Wedding Planner a su nous guider tout le long des préparatifs et s’est occupée de mille détails auquels  nous ne pensions pas. “Sara and I, I must still get used to say “my wife” haha, wanted a civil wedding ceremony, something intimate that would allow us to share our feelings with the really important people in our lives. On the other side our family, friends, and colleagues where around 135 guests (it finally was reduced to 120). So our dilemma was how to avoid hurting anybody for not coming to our wedding and get our intimate part of the celebration. After knowing Carole  things where clear for us.

After listening to our fears, doubts, requirements, excitement, etc, she proposed to have a 2 days wedding. This way we could have a “party” with everybody and then our intimate reception with our close relatives. You can imagine, if 1 day wedding was difficult for us, 2 days seemed impossible! You must add to the logistics, that for us was strange a 2 days wedding, we’ve never been to one except our own, so the fears growed fast!

I must admit that Carole impressed us with her proposals, helping us to find the right place for us, to choose the right photographer, and guiding us to keep attention on the details that could make the difference.

Sara and I like to talk about our wedding because it turn out a great event! And Sara more than myself had a good time organizing every aspect with Carole, and thinking on details to surprise people, little gifts for kids, incredible centerpieces, roses for women as they arrived, giving everyone his moment to feel the star of the wedding .”

“Hindu bride and Catholic groom from London, a hundred guests from over ten countries in the world, and a wedding spanning over four days encompassing both cultures in Barcelona.

Patrick and I have had our best times on holiday in cities or by the water, and what better place than Barcelona that combines the two? The biggest stumbling hitch was how to even start the planning, and after researching pretty much all wedding planners that claimed to organise foreign weddings in Barcelona, we decided on Marry Me in Spain’s Carole as she was the most keen and interested in taking up our project, by agreeing to meet us over skype and having an in-depth no-strings-attached chat! And we are so very glad we did as she has been the cornerstone in pulling this together.

Carole has never said no. Apart from the usual such as venues, photo/video, transportation, accomodation, legal requirements etc, no task was too small or too big for her to carry out. Be it visas, clothing, henna artists, Hindu priests, traditional altars or mandaps, specialist DJs, vintage cars – you name it and she’s got it covered.

Throughout the whole planning process, Carole has had other projects too, but she has always been on the ball, is punctual, a savvy bargainer working hard within budgets, sensitive and has a memory like an elephant! She has a methodical top-down approach which is the best way to organise a wedding and also has a fine eye for detail, making sure everything ties in smoothly together in the end beautifully.

While it is normal for any soon-to-be-married couple to be nervous and stressed before the wedding, and there will undoubtedly be last minute hurdles, Carole’s flexibility and ability to respond to situations quickly and calmly really helps dealing with the nerves, and completely enjoying the actual day.

Many big thanks to Carole and the team at Marry Me in Spain for giving us our dream wedding and memories to last a lifetime. Noone can believe how good it was!”

Events were planned well and went smoothly, disregarding some minor deviations. The arrangements with Church, Hotels,Florists, Photography and other things were effective and efficiently managed. All four, almost continuous, events were woven nicely together, went trouble free and thoroughly enjoyable.
